
Upstate Continues ASUN Play this Weekend Hosting North Florida, Jacksonville

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate volleyball team remains in conference play this weekend as it hosts the North Florida Ospreys and Jacksonville Dolphins in a pair of ASUN matches. The Spartans host North Florida on Friday evening at 6 p.m. and conclude the weekend on Sunday with a 2 p.m. contest against Jacksonville.
Upstate (10-10, 2-1) split a pair of ASUN matches last weekend beginning on Friday with a 3-2 win at Stetson before falling to FGCU 3-0 on Saturday. With the win over Stetson, the Spartans began their conference season 2-0 for the first time since joining the league. Upstate hit a season-best .275 against Stetson and had three players record double-doubles during the match in Madison Haake, Montana Swanson and Rebecca Shearer.
North Florida currently sits at 11-8 overall and 1-2 in the conference, and Jacksonville is 3-12 on the season and 0-3 in league play. The Spartans trail in the all-time series to North Florida 32-7 and 13-2 against Jacksonville.

The Spartans begin a three-game road trip next weekend as they travel to Kennesaw State and Lipscomb.
