Track Teams Earn Three All-Conference Accolades at Atlantic Sun Indoor Championship

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The USC Upstate indoor track and field teams wrapped up the 2015-16 season on Saturday during the final day of the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championship at the JDL Fast Track. Both teams finished in fifth place.
Dorian Jones earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the mile with a time of 4:16.54. Jones' time is the second-fastest in school history. The 4x400-meter relay team of Tyriek Sampson, Cameron Pratt, Tanner Saunders and Patrick Jamison also earned Second Team All-Conference recognition as they crossed the finish line in 3:25.23.
Jamison set a new school record in the 60-meter dash as he finished in fourth place with a time of 7.02. Desman Martin just missed out on a top-three result in the triple jump with a leap of 45-05.50.
Brenicke Johnson earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the 60-meter dash with a finishing time of 7.57. KeAndrea Ladson set a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles after finishing with a time of 8.70. Ladson set a new record in the event for the second straight day after running a then-record 8.80 in Friday's preliminaries.
