Jamison Sets School Record in 200-meter dash

Johnson City, Tenn. – Patrick Jamison set a new school record in the 200-meter dash as the USC Upstate indoor track and field teams took part in the opening day of the Buccaneer Invitational.
Jamison crossed the finish line with a time of 22.37, eclipsing the old record of 22.48 held by Matt Johnson. Desman Martin recorded a mark of 46-08.75 (14.24m), just shy of the school record of 46-11.00 (14.30m) The distance medley relay team of Marcus Miles, Myles Wilson, Calin Schumacher and Dorian Jones finished in eighth place.
Destinie Sykes finished in eighth place in the triple jump. Kayla Jordon finished in ninth place in the 400-meter dash. KeAndrea Ladson finished in 10th place in the high jump. Ladson and Kennedy Holton advanced to the 60-meter hurdle semifinals from a preliminary field of 60 student-athletes.
The meet concludes tomorrow beginning with the decathlon at 9:15 a.m.
