Distance Runners Have Strong Saturday at Buccaneer Invitational

Johnson City, Tenn. – Griffin Eubanks scored a top-five finish in the 3,000-meter run on the second day of the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State University.
Eubanks finished in fourth place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:49.26. Theodore Kountourogiannis ran the fourth-fastest 3,000 meter race in school history as he finished in 8:53.09. Dorian Jones crossed the finish line in the mile in 4:23.77, which is the third-fastest time in school history.
On the women's side, Draneisha Griffin scored a 12th place finish in the long jump, followed by KeAndrea Ladson in 17th.
Upstate returns to the track on Feb. 19 at the Appalachian State Invite.
