Conway, S.C. – The USC Upstate track and field teams had 11 top-five finishes in the second day of the Coach O CCU Invite hosted by Coastal Carolina.
Destinie Sykes finished in second place in the triple jump. KeAndrea Ladson finished in second place in the 100-meter hurdles with Jazmine Burse scoring a fifth place finish. Kayla Jordon finished in second place in the 400-meter dash, followed by Courtney Bradley in fifth place. Semaj Tolliver scored a third place finish in the 100-meter dash. Essence Jackson finished fifth in the 800-meter run.
On the men's side, Tanner Saunders was the runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles. James Jones and Saunders finished in fourth and fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles. The 4x100-meter relay team of Tyriek Sampson, Patrick Jamison, Darius Marshall and Ezequiel Sepulveda finished in fifth place.
Upstate continues the outdoor season next weekend at the 49er Classic.
