Track and Field Competes in Opening Day of adidas Winthrop Invitational, Raleigh Relays

adidas Winthrop Invitational Day 1 Results
Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate Track and Field teams had three top-10 finishes and several runners qualify for Saturday finals in their events during Friday action at the adidas Winthrop Invitational at Irwin Belk Track. Additionally, two Spartans competed in the Raleigh Relays at Paul Derr Track.
KeAndrea Ladson finished in fourth place in the 100-meter hurdle preliminaries and will compete in the finals tomorrow at 1:20 p.m. Kayla Jordon advanced to the 200-meter dash finals with the finals at 3:50 p.m. Saturday. Audriana Jones scored a seventh place finish in the long jump. Semaj Tolliver finished ninth in the 100-meter dash.
James Jones finished second in the 100-meter hurdle preliminaries while Tanner Saunders finished in fifth. They will run in the finals tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. Tyriek Sampson scored a ninth place finish in the 200-meter dash.
At the Raleigh Relays, Dorian Jones finished in 36th place in the 1500-meter run while Griffin Eubanks placed 93rd in the 5,000-meter run.
Saturday's Adidas Winthrop Invitational events begin with the triple jump at 9 a.m.
