
Ray Named to Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team

Macon, Ga. – USC Upstate sophomore Logan Ray has been named to the Atlantic Sun Men's Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team, the league announced Friday afternoon. It is his first All-Academic Team selection.
"We are proud of Logan for this academic achievement," said head coach Natalie Smith. "He is very deserving of this award as he balances more than just academics and athletics. Logan is also very active on campus and is well respected by professors and other students on campus."
Ray, a unanimous selection, is a Pre-Law major with a 3.75 GPA. The Bristow, Va. native competed in the 800-meter run, 1,500-meter run 3,000-meter run and 3,000-meter steeplechase this season. He recorded his season-best time in three of his four events at Charlotte's Irwin Belk Track.
North Florida's Justin Bryan claimed the ASUN Men's Outdoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for the second straight season.
