Fry Excels at The Hayt Tournament

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – USC Upstate senior golfer Hunter Fry (Dacula, Ga.) is tied for seventh overall at The Hayt Tournament and is ahead of 13 Top-100 golfers in the country.

Fry posted rounds of 68 and 74 on the first day of the tournament and is tied for second overall in Par 3 scoring (-1). Fry leads the team in Par 4 scoring (E) and he is tied for fifth overall in the tournament with 9 birdies. The senior is coming off his first collegiate tournament win and will be looking for his second top-10 finish of the 2021 spring season.

Freshman Max Dupree (Eatonton, Ga.) is second on the team with rounds of 79 and 75 through the first 36 holes. Parker Lewis (Inman, S.C.) is third on the team after he carded a 76 and 79, Zander Briggs (Simpsonville, S.C.) is fourth with rounds of 85 and 80. Jackson Lyons (Suffolk, Va.) rounds out the team with rounds of 81 and 88.

Next Up
USC Upstate will be one of the last groups to tee off in the third and final round of the Hayt Tournament, the Spartans first player will start at 9:03 a.m. and Hunter Fry will tee off at 9:39 a.m.
