Tournament Preview
After seeing two top-five finishers at a conference championship for the first time in the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) at last season's Big South Men's Golf Championship, USC Upstate men's golf looks to once again attack The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C. as the 2023 iteration of the Championship tees off Monday.

Upstate enters the postseason after claiming multiple top-30 finishers for the second time this season following the Wofford Invitational—a pseudo-home event for the Spartans. At the event, the team also posted the team's third-lowest 54-hole total of the season with the team's second-round 287.

Senior Brady Hinkle leads the Spartans into the postseason, holding a streak of four of five events scoring at 220 or better after posting a 54-hole total of 214 at the Wofford Invitational. He returns to the site of one of the strongest tournaments of his career as he placed fifth at last season's Big South Championship, fashioning a then-career low 211.

Another Spartan with momentum heading into the Big South Championship, junior Zander Briggs, like Hinkle, earned a top-30 finish at the Wofford Invitational, tying for 23^rd. He also enters on a streak of two straight events carding a career-low 18-hole total, doing so last time out with an opening-round 70 while his 54-hole total of 214 also stands as a career-low.
