Tournament Preview
Heading to the course for the final tune-up for the Big South Men's Golf Championship, USC Upstate men's golf faces a pseudo-home event as it competes at the Country Club of Spartanburg at the Wofford Intercollegiate.

The event marks the second event of the year for the Spartans in Spartanburg this season after competing at The Carolina Cup at Carolina Country Club during the fall portion of the team's season. At the event, multiple players posted their best finishes and scores of the season.

Upstate enters the Wofford Intercollegiate holding a streak of four straight events in the spring season with a top-30 individual finisher. At the Seahawk Intercollegiate, it was senior Brady Hinkle who claimed the finish, tying for 28^th behind scores of 68-74-73-215 with his opening-round 68 tying for the lowest individual round of his career.

Behind Hinkle on the scoreboard, junior Zander Briggs tied his career-low round with an opening-round 71, posting his lowest 18-hole total of the season. He fashioned scores of 71-73-81-225, finishing the event as the Spartans' second finisher on the leaderboard.
