USC Upstate:
Pitcher: Carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning—the second time he's taken a no-hitter into the sixth inning or later—and striking out a career-high nine batters, junior left-handed pitcher
Henry Proger garnered Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week accolades for the third time this season. He worked 7.0 innings, surrendering two hits, five baserunners, and one unearned run to earn his sixth win and team-leading sixth quality start of the season in an 11-1 victory over Radford. On the season, he carries a 6-4 record and 3.97 earned run average into the weekend's series, striking out 50 batters and posting a batting average against of .239.

Position Player: Collecting a pair of multi-hit games last weekend, twice breaking his career-high for hits, redshirt junior
David Pereira had a career series against Radford, posting a three-slash line of .727/.750/1.091 as he went 8-for-11 with two doubles, a triple, five RBI and five runs scored. In the series finale, he finished a home run shy of a natural cycle, collecting a single in his first and fifth at-bats, a double in his third, and a triple in his fourth as he drove home a career-high-tying three runs to accompany his career-best four hits.

Pitcher: Taking the ball in game two of the weekend's series for Presbyterian, left-hander Charlie McDaniel enters the weekend leading the Big South in walks allowed per nine innings, permitting 1.68 walks per nine innings, ranking 33
rd in the NCAA in the category. Over 53.2 innings this season, he sports a 3-6 record and a 6.20 ERA while striking out 44 hitters against 10 walks. He's started a league-high 11 games—ranked seventh in the country—and has gone longer than 5.0 innings in eight of his 11 starts.

Position Player: Hitting a pair of homers and a double as part of a five-hit week, third baseman Trey Fenderson garnered Big South Freshman of the Week honors last week as he hit .313 (5-fo-16) while driving home five and scoring four runs for the Blue Hose. He enters the weekend series sporting a slash line of .236/.336/.358 as he totals 16 RBI, 15 runs scored, and six stolen bases this season.

Up Next for the Spartans
Concluding the team's eight-game homestand with its last home game until the final weekend of the season, Upstate hosts Queens in a midweek rematch Tuesday at Cleveland S. Harley Park. The two teams met in late March in Charlotte as the Spartans returned with an 8-6 victory and look to sweep the season series as first pitch is set for 5 p.m. ET.
