Spartan men's golf makes the trip to Fripp Island to wrap up fall season

Fripp Island, SC -- The USC Upstate Men's Golf program heads to Fripp Island to conclude their fall season by competing in the Fripp Island Intercollegiate Creek Golf Course, the site of the upcoming Big South Championships in the spring.

Sophomore Alec Prentice returns to a course where he has seen consistent success. Prentice claimed first place at the Big South Preview at Fripp Island during the fall 2023 event, shooting -6 overall. He also secured a top-25 finish at the Big South Championships last year.

The Spartans are coming off an eighth-place finish at The Johnson Group Carolina Cup, where Junior Herman Holst and Senior Barrett Josey finished in 24th and 28th place, respectively.
