ECU Intercollegiate Wraps, Spartans Look to the Golfweek Invitational

GREENVILLE, NC --Â In the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club, the USC Upstate men's golf team had a good performance from Freshman Alec Prentice. The New Zealand native secured a place in the top 50, propelled by his solid round one performance, where he carded a 75. Moreover, Prentice and Jaskaran Sohal were solid in par three scoring, landing in the top three in this category during the intercollegiate.
However, freshman Hans Risvaer of UCF claimed the individual title. He delivered an outstanding performance, finishing at -3 under par for the tournament. Risvaer's victory was particularly noteworthy as he began the second round trailing by seven strokes, holding the 20th position.Â
As for the team standings, East Carolina emerged victorious, clinching the team title with a cumulative scorecard of 286-298-295-879.Â
