
No Biding of Time, Cameron Biddle Makes Move on Day Two of Big South Championships

FRIPP ISLAND, SC --Â The USC Upstate men's golf team concluded the second round of the Big South Championships with a highlighted performance from Freshman Cameron Biddle. The Aiken native leveraged his powerful tee shots, finishing the day at two under par and climbing eight spots on the leaderboard to tie for 26th. Jaskaran Sohal currently holds the highest position for the Spartans, tied for 23rd.
Despite improving by two strokes from yesterday, the Spartans slipped in the team standings after posting a cumulative score of 291. Upstate did show improvement on par 5s, now ranking in the middle of the pack with a team score of -10 during the tournament. Additionally, Sohal, Prentice, and Biddle all secured Eagles during today's play, placing the Spartans fourth in the tournament for most birdies.
Overall, Fred Roberts IV of High Point had a jaw-dropping performance with a 63 (-8) on the day, jumping four spots to claim the top position on the leaderboard. With Roberts leading the charge, High Point also seized a six-stroke lead over Gardner-Webb to sit atop the board at the end of the second round.
The third round will resume tomorrow at 8:30 AM (EST).
