SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On the road for the second time in the 2025 season and facing its first multi-game midweek series, USC Upstate baseball faces an old ASUN foe, travelling to the Sunshine State for a two-game set against Stetson. The Spartans and Hatters renew their series Tuesday (6:30 p.m. ET) and Wednesday (4:00 p.m.) with the first meetings since 2018.

USC Upstate: Striking out nine batters over 5.0 innings of work across two relief outings last week, sophomore right-handed pitcher Darin Kuskie posted a 16.2 strikeouts per nine innings total. Through four appearances, he's notched three scoreless outings while allowing just one unearned run over 7.0 innings of work. He's faced 25 batters in 2025, striking out 12.
 
Stetson: Leading the Hatters in batting average, junior outfielder Jordan Taylor hits at a .288 clip this season, carrying a seven-game hitting streak into the midweek. He leads Stetson with a team-best 11 RBI while registering six extra-base hits (two doubles, one triple, and three home runs) with his extra-base hit and home run totals ranking second on the club.

Off the team's first multi-game midweek and multi-game road swing, USC Upstate returns home to begin Big South Conference play. The Spartans host Radford in the team's first series in conference play, seeing first pitch times of 3 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
