Men's Golf Begins NCAA Regional Play in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – USC Upstate Men's golf earned a bid to the NCAA Regionals after clinching the 2025 Big South Championship title for the first time in program history. Seeded for the Auburn Regional, the Spartans travel to the plains, facing top competition in three rounds of stroke play. The low five teams and the top individual not on those teams will advance to the finals held May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Golfers to Watch:
Ross Wright heads into the regional with a lot of momentum from the Big South Tournament. The freshman has made an impact in both the regular season and postseason, including a top-ten finish and two top-25 finishes. Wright is also a formidable opponent in match play, having an overall record of 4-0-1.

Another Spartan to watch is Jackson Stone, who has been another standout performer this season. Notching four top-ten finishes on the season, Stone has carded a total of six sub-70 rounds. He also played a critical role in the Big South Championship, winning both of his matches to clinch the title for the Spartans.

About the Course: Our 18-hole, 7,254 yard championship golf course is situation on 225 acres of beautiful rolling hills and woodlands. Designed by Bill Bergin in 1999, the course surrounds the 25-acre Yarbrough Lake and is partly bordered by Saugahatchee Creek. The tournament yardage is 7,607.
