Event Preview:
A first successful indoor meet at the Visit Winston Salem College Kick Off back in December, USC Upstate men's and women's track and field teams are back in action this weekend. Competing in the first of two meets at Tryon International, the Spartans look to build on their success.

Michael Moody earned a top finish in the men's long jump at JDL, a distance that put him fifth all-time in school history. Joshua Sterling placed third in men's weight throw at the opening meet of the season.

Freshman Dominique Brown made a statement in her first collegiate meet, breaking the indoor school record for the women's 400m with a time of 57.51. The record had stood for 10 years.
