Event Preview:
Making the first of two trips to Virginia, USC Upstate track and field competes at the VMI Invitational this weekend. Upstate enters this meet after 17 Spartans had performances land on the all-time school history list, including three new school records.

Fresh off his second Big South Freshman of the Week award, Collin Bui-Hayes looks to set another personal record in the men's 200m. At Tryon, Bui-Hayes ran a 21.63 in the event, a time that puts him third-in the Big South and in school history. Connor Herold had an impressive event win at Tryon in the men's 5000m with his time of 15:28.52.

Sophia Outhous set the school record for the women's 600m and secured a top finish in the 800m this past weekend. Taylor Thomas secured the event win in women's shot put at Tryon, throwing 13.08m.
