Traveling to Louisiana, Men's Golf Competes in Golden Nugget Invitational Monday and Tuesday

LAKE CHARLES, La. – A month since their first spring tournament, USC Upstate men's golf is in Louisiana for the Golden Nugget Invitational. The two-day tournament is hosted by Lamar and held March 2-3.

This will be the first 54-hole tournament for the Spartans this spring, as earlier this season, the Sea Best Intercollegiate was shortened from 54 holes to 36 due to weather.

Golfers to Watch:
In the Sea Best Invitational, Jackson Stone finished with a score of 144, carding rounds of 74-70. He finished the tournament at two over, tied for 27th out of a field of 86.

Phuthanate Kangwol is back in the lineup for the Spartans, competing in his first spring collegiate tournament.

The Country Club at the Golden Nugget was designed by Todd Eckenrode and Origins Golf Design. It is a par 72, 7,000-yard course surrounded by native marsh landscaping
