For First Time in 16 Years, Baseball Heads to Knoxville for a Clash with No. 21 Tennessee Tuesday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Concluding a five-game road swing with its sixth and final scheduled game against an opponent from the Southeastern Conference, USC Upstate baseball travels to Knoxville for a meeting with No. 21 Tennessee Tuesday evening. The latest meeting between the Spartans and Volunteers comes nearly 16 years to the day of their last meeting in 2010 as the two sides have faced off on three occasions in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.)—Tennessee owns a 2-1 series lead.

USC Upstate: Entering Tuesday's game, redshirt sophomore centerfielder Henry Zenor holds a four-game streak of multi-hit contests, tying for the longest such streak of his career, hitting from the leadoff spot. Collecting nine hits last week, he registers 37 hits (1.48 per game) on the campaign, leading the Big South in hits—ranking 33^rd in the NCAA—and hits per game. Zenor supplements his hit total with six doubles, one home run, 19 RBI, and 22 runs scored while stealing four bags in five attempts.

Tennessee: Headlining a balanced Volunteer lineup, junior infielder Henry Ford leads Tennessee in hits, home runs, RBI, and total bases entering Tuesday's midweek contest. The Virginia transfer holds the longest active hitting streak for the Vols, a four-game streak, and earlier in the season carried a 10-game hitting streak, one of two 10-plus game streaks for Upstate. Ford also leads Tennessee with 10 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games.
