Biography
2019: Competed in five meets this season…Ran a season-best 8K at the Upstate Invitational where he finished ninth with a time of 26:47.8…Qualified for the NCAA Southeast Regionals where he finished his 10K with a time of 33:50.3.
2018 (Senior): Competed in two meets during the 2018 season. Finished top 10 in both the Eye Opener (Aug 31st) and the Lenoir Rhyne Invitational (Sept. 13th). Not only did Jones finish in the top-10 of both races, but he came in first on the team for both as well.
- Best Time: Lenoir Rhyne - 25:46 (4th)
2016 (Sophomore): Ran in all six meets...Earned second team All-Conference honors with an eighth place finish at the ASUN Championship with a personal-best time of 25:35.56...Finished a season-best fourth place at the Winthrop Invitational.
2015 (Freshman): Saw action in all six meets for the Spartans as a freshman…Finished a season-best 32nd at the Winthrop Invite (Sept. 19)…Crossed the finish line in a personal-best 27:08.09 at the Wake Forest Invitational (Oct. 16)
High School: Lettered five years in track and field, two in football and one in cross country at Airport High School…Was a Shrine Bowl Run participant…Is an eight-time selection to the All-Region 5 3A Team for track and field…Named Class 3A All-State in the 800-meters…Also selected All-Region once in cross country.
Personal: Born on December 3, 1996…Parents are Danny and Michelle Jones…Has two sisters…Majoring in History Education.
