Biography

Honors: 2018 ASUN Second Team All-Conference, 2018 ASUN All-Tournament Team.

2019: Biggerstaff had 37 appearances in the circle over the course of her senior season, with 33 of those being starts. She went 26-6 with a 1.24 ERA. Kept batters to a .162 batting average over the course of the year. Biggerstaff struck out 268 while only walking 56. Led the team in ERA, opposing batting avg.,  win/loss %, wins, innings batter, batters struck out, appearances, games started, and batters struck out looking. Pitched 26 complete games on the year with 13 of those being complete game shutouts. Had a season best 16 strikeouts in the 2-1 victory over Youngstown State on Feb. 9th. Biggerstaff pitched the second perfect game of her career on Mar. 6th against East Tennessee State. She pitched just 5 innings with 6 strikeouts. Biggerstaff also pitched 2 no-hitters on the season, one against Youngstown State and one against Robert Morris. Finished the season ranked top 10  in numerous Big South categories: 1st in ERA (1.24), 1st in opposing batting average (.162), 1st in innings pitched (214.2), 1st in batters struck out (268), 1st in batters struck out looking (74), and 1st in wins (26).

2018:  Started 28 games with 34 total appearances in the circle…Posted an 18-10 record with a 2.03 ERA…Limited opponents to a .184 batting average…Struck out 229 better while walking 84…Led the team in wins, strike outs and ERA…Tied for first in wins in the ASUN…Led the ASUN in strikeouts…Had a season-best 13 strikeouts against Charlotte in eight innings pitched…Struck out 12 against East Tennessee State, North Florida and Stetson… Became the fourth player in school history to throw a perfect game in a 9-0 win over Presbyterian College in five innings…Recorded six shutouts versus Fairfield, East Tennessee State, Presbyterian College, Indiana, Lipscomb and North Florida.

Prior to USC Upstate:  Played one season each at Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech…Transferred to Upstate from Oklahoma State…Went 3-0 in 17 appearances as a sophomore at Oklahoma State with five starts…Threw 44.1 innings…Tossed six innings during a victory over Abilene Christian and did not allow a run in five innings against Tulsa…Was a Big 12 All-Academic selection…Made 28 appearances as a freshman at Georgia Tech with 12 starts and six complete games…Pitched 95.2 innings with 139 strikeouts…Combined to pitch two no-hitters in back-to-back days against Mount St. Mary’s and Savannah State…Struck out 14 batters in a 5-4 win at No. 22 Texas A&M and tallied five games with double-digit strikeouts.

High School/Travel Ball:  Graduated from Cy-Fair High School where she lettered in softball…Went 28-3 during her prep career with an ERA of 1.07 and registered 270 strikeouts…Played on four straight District Championship teams…Was a Second Team All-American performer in 2014…Became the first softball player at Cy-Fair to be named to the All-Star Division 4A-5A Team…Selected by the Houston Chronicle to the Class AAAAA All-State Team and was voted the 17-AAAAA All-District Team…Recognized on the Texas Girls Coaches Association AAAAA All-State Team…Voted the Class AAAAA Player of the Year by KUBE TV…Tabbed the Most Valuable Player of Cy-Fair in 2014…Garnered Second Team TSWA All-State honors for Class AAAAA as a pitcher…Played travel ball for Texas Sudden Impact 18U Gold and Texas Impact Gold 18U – Sessum.
