Bedell Named to PING All-Southeast Region Team

NORMAN, Okla. – Earlier this week the Golf Coaches Association of America announced the Division I All-Region Teams, USC Upstate senior Reid Bedell (Fair Haven, N.J.) has been named to the Southeast Region team.

"Reid played with passion and heart this year," USC Upstate golf coach Todd Lawton said. "He worked every day to get better and did. To have a season like his cut short was so tough. This achievement is not an easy one to earn and I'm proud of Reid and how he represents our program and Upstate overall. A great honor."

When the season ended Bedell was ranked No. 78 nationally by Golfstat.com. The New Jersey native was a two-time Big South Golfer of the Week and had the lowest stroke average in the conference with a 70.31. Bedell, recorded four Top-10 finishes this season, tying him for the conference lead.

In his final event of the season Bedell, took down a trio of top-30 players, including UNLV's Jack Trent who was previously ranked No. 10 in the nation by Golfstat. Bedell, ended the season with a 5-2 record against opponents who rank between 51-100.
Bedell joins Pontus Nyholm of Campbell as the only two Big South golfers named to an All-Region Team.
