SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Returning to its home course to host its first multi-day event at Carolina Country Club, USC Upstate men's golf concluded a successful tournament as the Carolina Collegiate Invitational wrapped play Tuesday afternoon.

The Carolina Collegiate Invitational marked the third consecutive season the Spartans have hosted on their home course, providing an opportunity for all 13 members of the program to compete against a stout tournament field. As a team, Upstate finished 10^th, posting scores of 299-293-293-885.

Redshirt junior Parker Lewis led the Spartan legion, carding the lowest 54-hole total of his career with a one-over-par 217. Claiming Upstate's lone top-30 finish, he fashioned scores of 71-73-71 to tie for 23^rd in the tournament field.

Nearly joining Lewis with a top-30 placement were junior Brady Hinkle and sophomore Max Dupree who topped the Spartan lineup, placing tied for 33^rd and tied for 37^th, respectively. Hinkle saw his scores improve with each round, writing down marks of 74-73-72-219 while Dupree carded scores of 73-70-77-220.

Fashioning a 54-hole total of 217 (+1), Parker Lewis carded the lowest 54-hole score of his career, besting his previous low 234 at last season's The Hayt.
Carding an eagle on Carolina Country Club's 515-yard, par-5 18^th hole, Max Dupree carded one of 19 eagles at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational.
Marking 38 and 36 pars, respectively, Brady Hinkle and Dupree finished top-10 in the tournament field in total pars as Hinkle tied for second and Dupree tied for 10^th.
Carding 13 birdies, Nick Willis concluded the Carolina Collegiate Invitational tied for seventh in the field in total birdies.
