Facing a Stout Tournament Field, Men's Golf Wrapped the Fall Slate at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate

DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – Wrapping up the fall portion of the team's 2021-22 schedule, USC Upstate men's golf competed against one of the toughest fields on its fall slate—featuring four teams ranked in the top-100 of the latest GolfStat rankings—as play wrapped Tuesday at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate.

Sophomore Max Dupree paced the Spartans for the third time in four events this season as he tied for 45^th at the Daniel Island Club, fashioning scores of 74-77-73-224 (+8) as he finished atop the lineup. Tying for 56^th, freshman Zach Phillips finished second among the Spartan contingent as he claimed his best career finishing, marking down scores of 77-76-74-227 (+11).

As a team, Upstate improved its score across each round as it finished 17^th at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate. The Spartans wrote in marks of 308-305-303-916 as they wrapped the fall portion of their schedule.

Leading to his best career finish, Zach Phillips finished the event tied for 19^th in the 104-player Daniel Island Collegiate field in total pars, marking down 36.
