Deimeke Breaks Two School Records Between Hub City Invite and Gamecock Invite

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate track and field split time between the Hub City Invite hosted by Newberry and the Gamecock Invitational this weekend, and the Spartans saw two school records broken, four wins, 24 top-seven finishes, and 29 personal bests.

At the Hub City Invite, the quartet of Jasmine Brown, Angelnique Bryant, Sharetha Odom, and Anastasia Kinlaw once again took gold in the 4x100m relay with a 46.29 mark. For the men, Tony Auguste placed first in the hammer throw with a mark of 57.11. Bailey Hayes won the shot put with a program second-best mark of 16.31. Stephen Dauway, Jared Henderson, Antoine Nance, and Javin Holston took the win in the 4x100m relay with a time of 40.79.

Megan Deimeke set two school records on the weekend, first with a 48.14m mark in the hammer throw at the Hub City Invite. She went on to break that record the next day at the Gamecock Invite with a mark of 49.52m.
