School Records Fall at USC Open

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A pair of school records fell for USC Upstate track and field on Saturday at the USC Open as Megan Deimeke broke the record in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 51.19 meters and Tony Auguste hit a record mark of 16.58 meters in the men's shot put.

"It was a great competition this weekend," said head coach Carson Blackwelder. "The team is developing and getting better each week. School records being broken and personal best achieved, you can't ask for anything more than that."

The women's side saw four top-10 finishes while the men's side saw seven, and 14 Spartans set personal bests.
