Men's Golf Sees A Top-20 Finisher and a Golfer Jump 24 Spots on the Leaderboard as the Seahawk Intercollegiate Comes to a Close

Final Leaderboard

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Facing very windy conditions through the duration of the event, USC Upstate men's golf concluded the Seahawk Intercollegiate with a top-20 individual finisher and another golfer who jumped 24 spots on the final leaderboard as the final round came to a close Monday.

Leading the Spartans for the sixth time through seven events, sophomore Max Dupree secured his third top-20 finish of the year, tying for 19^th. He carded marks of 73-71-75-219 as his second-round 71 standing as one of the Spartans' three rounds under par.

Jumping 24 spots on the leaderboard, junior Brady Hinkle used a final-round 69 to jump to a tie for 37^th. He fashioned scores of 78-76-69-223 with his final round total marking his lowest and ties for the lowest round by a Spartan this season.

As a team, Upstate wrapped 13^th on the leaderboard, posting totals of 297-303-307-907. The team's first-round 297 stands as the team's 12^th sub-70 round this season.

Notable

Closing the final round carding a 69, Brady Hinkle posted his season-low 18-hole total to jump 24 spots on the final leaderboard. His round finished one stroke shy of his career-low round (68).
Fashioning the team's lowest first-round 18-hole total, Zander Briggs opening-round 71 marked a career-low round. Finishing a stroke behind Briggs's in the first round, Barrett Josey carded a career-low 72 in the first round.
