Tournament Preview
In the team's final preparation ahead of the 2022 Big South Men's Golf Championship, USC Upstate men's golf returns to a familiar course, competing in a pseudo-home event as the Spartans set their sights on the Country Club of Spartanburg and the Wofford Invitational.

The event marks a return to the course after seeing sophomore Max Dupree secure his third top-20 event finish of the season, leading the Spartans for the sixth time in seven events, at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on March 27-28. Tying for 19^th, he fashioned scores of 73-71-75-219 with his second-round 71 standing as one of three rounds below par for Upstate at the event.

Jumping 24 spots on the final leaderboard behind a season-low and team-low final round 69, junior Brady Hinkle finished tied for 37^th last time out at the Seahawk Intercollegiate. He carded marks of 78-76-69-223 as his final-round total tied for the lowest single-round by a Spartan this season while falling a stroke shy of his career-low total (68).

Adding the Spartans' final round under par at the event, sophomore Zander Briggs opened the Seahawk Intercollegiate with a career-low 71, turning in totals of 71-77-80-228 at the event, finishing third among the Upstate contingent on the leaderboard.
