Tournament Preview
After competing in four events during the spring portion of its schedule and coming off a final regular-season tune-up at the Wofford Invitational, USC Upstate men's golf looks forward to the 2022 Big South Men's Golf Championship as play gets underway Thursday morning.

The Spartans enter the postseason after wrapping the regular season at the Wofford Invitational last week. Junior Brady Hinkle paced Upstate at the event, tying for 29^th as he fashioned scores of 69-69-80-218. His 54-hole total marked his second-lowest event total of the season with his first and second-round scores tying for his lowest round of the year as the two 69s completed a streak of three straight rounds of 69 for Hinkle dating back to the Seahawk Intercollegiate.

Entering the postseason, sophomore Max Dupree leads the Spartans in stroke average at 72.83, leading Upstate in six of eight regular-season events this season. His best finish of the year came at the Battle at Black Creek where he earned a runner-up finish behind marks of 74-66-69-209 with his second-round 66 marking the lowest round of his career.

As a team, Upstate enters the postseason holding a GolfStat ranking of 230, earning the No. 8 seed for the 2022 Big South Championship.
