Beginning Another Campaign, Men's Golf Wraps Play at the Allstate/Streamsong Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – Hitting the course for the first time during the 2023-24 season, USC Upstate men's golf completed play at the Allstate/Streamsong Invitational, opening the season at the event for the second straight season.

Three Spartans made their debuts as the season officially opened with a pair of newcomers leading the Spartans at the Allstate/Streamsong Invitational. Junior Jas Sohal and freshman Cameron Biddle tied for 47^th, Upstate's top finishers on the leaderboard, crafting scores of 78-73-75-226 and 77-74-75-226, respectively.

Upstate's third newcomer, freshman Alec Prentice posted marks of 72-76-81-229, placing 55^th on the final leaderboard. The Spartans' two returners, senior Zander Briggs and junior Barrett Josey carded tallies of 74-78-75-227 and 77-78-77-232, tying for 52^nd and placing 57^th, respectively, on the leaderboard.

For the first time since last season's Allstate/Streamsong Invitational, the 2023 iteration of the event saw each member of the Spartan lineup post 54-hole scoring totals of 232 or lower. The event also saw a pair of rounds at or below par with Sohal's second-round 73 and Prentice's opening-round 72 marking the rounds for the Spartans.

Wrapping play at the Allstate/Streamsong Invitational, USC Upstate ranked second in the tournament field in total pars, marking down 171 pars.
Making his Upstate debut, Alec Prentice tied for 16^th in the event field in Par-3 Scoring (3.08; +1) while also tying for 10^th in the tournament field in total pars with 36.
Another Spartan debutant, Cameron Biddle tied for 19^th in the event field in Par-5 Scoring (4.73; -4) while tying for 10^th in the tournament field in total pars with 36.
Joining Biddle and Prentice, Jas Sohal also made his USC Upstate debut.
