SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Dylan Novak is continuing his academic and athletic career with the Men's Basketball program as part of 2025-26 signing class for Upstate Men's Basketball, announced by Marty Richter. Novak comes to Upstate after recently spending a year at PH Prep in Arizona.
Novak is a guard that shot at a 35 percent clip from beyond the arc while shooting over 75 percent from the charity stripe. Novak is a guard that can put pressure on opposing offenses posting 2.2 steals per game with a season high of six steals on February 12, 2025, against the Diamond Doves at Jelly Fam. At the guard position, Novak has shown that he can add help grabbing rebounds and push the tempo looking to find open teammates. Novak averaged 2.7 rebounds a game and 4.9 assists per game including a season-high of 10 assists on February 14, 2025.
"I think fans are really going to enjoy watching Dylan play next year. He averaged 7.7 points as a point guard at his prep school, but his ability to pass the basketball is what I'm excited for Spartan Nation to see next season. Dylan is fast, fierce and fun. He is a great addition to an already great group of young student-athletes."
