Head Coach Marty Richter announces Zach Johnson as the next piece to the 2026-27 Signing Class

Returning to the Carolinas where he is originally from Southern Pines, N.C., Johnson looks to add an offensive bag that has displayed Johnson putting up 25+ points which was shown at IVGreatness Academy. Standing at 6'6, Johnson will enter a competitive Big South league where he can be destined to blossom in the Marty Richter system. Johnson can crash the boards where he averaged six rebounds with IVGreatness and find the open teammate which displayed him averaging five assists.
Head Coach Marty Richter expressed his excitement about Johnson and what he brings to the program, mentioning, "Zach brings high major experience and size to our roster this season. He shoots the ball at an extremely high level and has an understanding of what it takes to prepare to win having come from Coach Dawkins and the UCF program."
Zach Johnson will prepare to embark on a new journey as the team reports to begin their new story in June where he will join Spartan Army. Johnson's background on the court and will to win is a combination that will push the Marty Richter era into a new step as the program continues to build.
