Before USC Upstate: Earned a total of six letters at Germantown Academy in Washington, Pa… Earned both First-Team All-Inter-AC and First-Team All-City accolades as a senior… Was also a Carpenter Cup selection… Was ranked as one of the top first basemen in southeastern Pennsylvania by the Philadelphia Inquirer… Finished junior campaign with a .459 batting average, 29 RBI, 10 extra-base hits and eight stolen bases… Earned Second-Team All-Inter-AC honors as well as All-City (Honorable Mention) accolades… Squad finished season 29-3 and was ranked 14th-nationally by Baseball America… In conference only games, Guers batted .483 and drove in 18 runs… Finished league play with three doubles and three home runs… Finished 3-for-3 (two homeruns, one double) and nine RBI against Conference Champion Penn Charter (Apr. 15, 2010)...
