Summer 2009: Tossed 26 innings for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs of the Florida Collegiate Summer League... Finished 0-3, but struck out 18.
2009: Appeared in 16 games, starting nine... Posted two quality starts, finishing with a 1-7 record in 46 1/3 innings of work... Walked 34 and struck out 29... Debuted by tossing a scoreless inning of relief against SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 21)... Made first collegiate start at Gardner-Webb, tossing 6 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing five hits and three walks to earn first win (Feb. 24)... Struck out three... Added another scoreless inning at Tennessee in relief, striking out one... Stretched scoreless inning streak to 9 1/3 innings before allowing his first run... Pitched six innings and struck out career-high six, allowing just four hits and three runs in hard-luck loss at Lipscomb (Mar. 15)...
