2011: Made 17 starts as a sophomore and was the ace of the 2011 squad, finishing 5-6 with a 5.08 ERA in 85 innings of work… Led the Spartans in wins, innings pitched, strikeouts (63) and opponent batting average (.273)… Total of 17 starts tied for the A-Sun lead, while 85 innings on the hill ranked eighth… In conference only games, tied for first in starts (10), sixth in innings pitched (59.1) and 10th in strikeouts (44)… Earned the win in season debut against George Mason (Feb. 18)… Allowed two runs on two hits with six punch outs in the Spartans’ 12-run victory over the Patriots… Recorded back-to-back quality starts against Presbyterian College (Feb. 25) and ETSU (Mar. 4)… Allowed just one run on four hits with four strikeouts in the no decision against the Blue Hose… Pitched six complete frames against the Bucs, allowing one run on five hits with six strikeouts in second consecutive no decision… Picked up the win in the series opener at FGCU (Mar. 25)… Allowed four runs on four hits with six walks and six strikeouts in seven innings on the mound… Teamed with reliever Chris Knauff to help lead Upstate to a 6-0 win over No. 20 Stetson (Apr. 1)… Hurled seven innings of scoreless baseball allowing six hits while striking out four… Earned A-Sun Pitcher of the Week accolades (Apr. 3) and was honored by CollegeBaseball360.com as a Primetime Performer (Apr. 5)… Earned the victory in Upstate’s 6-2 win at The Citadel (Apr. 23)… Allowed two runs on seven hits to the Bulldogs while tossing a career-high 125 pitched and tying a career-mark with 8.1 innings pitched… Gave up just one hit with four strikeouts in four innings of work against Wofford (May 10)… Earned the win after tossing 114 pitches in Upstate’s 5-1 victory in the finale at Campbell (May 20)… In eight innings of work, allowed just one run on seven hits to the Camels while striking out two batters.

First career win came at Mercer (Apr. 24) when he pitched a career-best 8.1 innings... Against the Bears he gave up two earned runs and struck out eight Mercer batters as the Spartans claimed the 5-2 win... Second longest outing of the season came against Kennesaw State (May 15) as he pitched 7.2 innings, giving up eight hits and six runs (three earned)... Pitched 5.2 innings in his first career start at The Citadel (Mar. 10)... Against the Bulldogs, he allowed just four hits and two earned runs (four total).

High School: Earned four letters in baseball at Middle Township High School... A 2009 Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Northeast Region All-High School Senior Honorable Mention selection... Tossed two straight shutouts at one point as a senior, including a 13-strikeout, five-hitter against Wildwood Catholic... Struck out 19 in a one-hit, 1-0 shutout of Moorestown, helping him finish his season with a 7-3 record and 101 strikeouts in 48 innings to go with a 0.75 ERA... Earned Cape National All-Star First Team, Atlantic City Press & Gazette First Team and All-Southern Jersey First Team honors... Played in the 24th Annual Carpenter Cup Classic in Philadelphia, where he pitched with the Tri-Cape all-stars in a tournament of high school stars... A Second Team Cape National All-Conference selection as a junior, finishing 5-2 with 90 strikeouts in 54 innings... Pitched a perfect game with 12 strikeouts and also hitting two homers against Bridgeton... Earned Honorable Mention All-Cape honors as a sophomore when he struck out 56 in 34 innings... Also earned three letters as a soccer player at Middle Township, helping the Panthers to a conference title as a junior.
