2018-19 (Senior): Played in 27 rounds in 10 events during his senior season. Finished with a 72.70 stroke average on 1963 strokes. Had a win/loss of 539-106 giving him a win/loss percentage of .836. Finished in the top ten 5 times over the course of the season. Carter’s best finish came on Oct 20th-21st when he finished tied for 3rd at the Camden Collegiate Invitational. He shot 71, 75, and 67 in 3 rounds giving him a total score of 213 with a par of +3. Finished as the highest ranked golfer on the team in 2 out of the 10 events this season. Shot a career low of 66 in the 2nd round of the Wofford Invitational Apr. 1st-2nd. Earned himself a spot on the Big South All-Conference team as he was ranked second on the team in stroke average (72.20) and contributed five top-10 and two top-5 finishes. Named the Big South Golfer of the Week twice during the season.
High School: Had a strong prep career at Easley High School… Lettered four years in golf and also participated in basketball and baseball…Helped lead Easley to back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Class 4A State Tournament in 2014 and 2015…Was selected to the North/South All-Star Team…Participated on the 2012 Class 4A State Championship team…Finished runner-up at the Class 4A State Tournament in 2014 and 2015…Named All-State following his senior season…Twice voted Class 4A All-Region I as a junior and senior…Finished as a three time Class 4A Region I champion…Had a standout junior golf career as well…Ranked No. 17 in the overall South Carolina Junior Golf Association rankings and No. 4 in the Class of 2015…Had a strong summer in 2013 capped off by an appearance in the semifinals of the 2013 S.C.
