2007-08: Saw action in all 12 tournamentsfor the Spartans... simply had a dominant year... named theco-Student-Athlete of the Year at Upstate... an A-Sun First TeamAll-Conference selection... won four individual tournamentchampionships... was named the A-Sun Golfer of the Month three ofthe six times it was awarded... lowered his stroke average by 3.1strokes from his freshman season... finished the year ranked No. 56in the Golfstat Cup... ranked tied for third in the nation in par-5scoring with a 4.62 stroke average... shot under par in 19 of 33rounds... shot par or better 22 times... finished in the top-5 ineight of 12 tournaments... finished in the top-10 in 11 of 12tournaments... finished the year under par with a 71.5 strokeaverage... claimed an outstanding 927-61 (.938) head-to-headrecord... won the individual title at the Sea Trail Intercollegiatewith a 10-under total... claimed medalist honors at theStetson/CFSC Invitational with a 4-under total... won the Lonnie D.Small Classic with a 3-under effort... claimed the individual titleat the Samford Intercollegiate with an 8-under total... alsofinished in the top-5 in the Rutgers Invitational (2nd), MacDonaldCup (t-4th), BSC Invitational (t-2nd) and the Wofford Invitational(3rd)... also had a strong summer of amateur golf... teamed withSpartan Baxter Culler to win the Carolinas Four BallChampionship... finished tied for 24th at the prestigious SouthernAmateur... a member of the A-Sun All-Academic team.
2006-07: Played in all 13 tournaments forUpstate... finished second on the team with a 74.6 strokeaverage... claimed six top-10 finishes... saved his best golf forthe last round of the season... fired a 4-under-par 67 in the finalround of the NCAA Division II Championships to lead Upstate to asecond-place finish in the tournament... the 67 is tied for thelowest round in school history... finished in a tie for thirdoverall, his best finish of the year... was sixth at the Peach BeltConference Championships and the Johnny Palmer Memorial... a memberof the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Academic Honor Roll.
Before Upstate: A two-time All-Regionselection at Gaffney High School... named the SpartanburgHerald-Journal Area Player of the Year as a senior... named to theGaffney High School Hall of Fame... won the Southern CrossTournament... placed second at the SCGA Cup... finished third atthe Carolina Classic... led Gaffney to a third-place finish in the2005 4A State Tournament... finished tied for third at the 2004Charles Tilghman Junior Golf Invitational... also a standout in theclassroom... an Honor Roll member.
