Was a three-time all-region selection in baseball and was selected to the North/South All-Star team... Was the schools Athlete of the Year after the conclusion of his senior season... Also played football for four years and was a two-time all region selection as he played on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and a defensive back.
Personal: Born on July 16, 1991 in Greenville, S.C... Son of Kurt and Lisa Tavernier... Has two older brothers, Josh and Jared... Majoring in business administration... Father, Kurt, played football and lacross at The Ohio State University during the 1970s... His two brothers played football at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. (Josh 2005-08; Jared 2007-10)...
